IDS Interactive Provides Web Strategy For Big Brothers Big Sisters
January 12, 2005
Long Island-based web development firm, IDS Interactive, Inc. has agreed to develop and implemented a new web strategy for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. The focus of the effort will be a new content managed website that allows BBBSLI staffers to update and maintain the site from their main offices in Levittown.
The goal of the new site is to increase communication and participation among BBBSLI's community of supporters as well as to bring the Big Brothers Big Sisters message of helping children through mentorship to many new people.
The new site will also become a venue for nationally produced video pieces about the organization that visitors can to view and share. Email communication, as well as direct mail and established off-line marketing, will be used to keep people informed about the organization's programs and activities. Website visitors can also use the site to make donations via credit card.
"We think BBBSLI will do very well with a new web strategy," says IDS president, Don Breinlinger. "They are a solid organization with a great mission and great people. A content management system will greatly enhance their communications capablities and remove what's been a persistant bottleneck in their efforts to keep their website current. We're very excited to be working with them."
BBBSLI Director of Development and Public Relations, Mike Auerbach states, "We were very happy when Don and his team at IDS came on board to help upgrade our website. This is something that we needed to do and was long overdue. IDS has made the process very easy, and we expect the new site to benefit us greatly."
